A DISCIPLE INDEED! (JOHN 8:31)
The kingdom of Heaven is like an athletic race. The athlete who continue steadfastly receives the price, but the athlete who gives up and goes off track is disqualified for the price.
As Jesus spoke to the people, many believed in him. He turned around and told those who believe in him what it takes to really be his disciples. That if only they will continue in Him and in His words then they will be His disciples indeed.
Faith in Jesus and becoming true disciples of Jesus therefore is not a day's performance. But a continuous commitment to Him. For he that draw back, my soul shall not be pleased in him (Heb 10:38) | |
